Raj S Paul brings many years of animal study to the field of wildlife art. As former owner of Precision Mannikins Inc., he specialized in the design and manufacture of taxidermy forms for African and North American game animals. Walk into the home of any big game hunter and you are likely to find one of their prize trophies mounted on a Precision Mannikin form. His work in the field of sport hunting and wildlife conservation has been recognized by the Houston Safari Club, which, in 2000, awarded him their most prestigious honor, "The Outstanding Hunter Lifetime Achievement Award".
Born in India, Raj thumbed his way to the US as a teenager. He soon discovered a natural talent for landscape design, deriving great satisfaction in seeing his drawings on paper evolve into beautiful gardens, many of which can still be seen in the city of Houston. Raj has won numerous national awards for his landscape installations and brings the same keen eye for nature to his artwork.

After retiring from very successful careers in landscaping followed by taxidermy supply, Raj decided to apply his natural creativity to the field of art and just as his designs drawn on paper turned into beautiful gardens, he set his energies into extracting artistic life forms from blocks of clay. A self taught artist, Raj is focused on sculpting wildlife in both a representational as well as an impressionistic style. A lover of the outdoors and an avid sportsman, he has traveled the globe, observing these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat.
'Wild Arts' bronzes capture the grace, strength, and natural elegance of these exotic and beautiful animals from around the world. |
